Muggy Houston heat to continue through weekend

Muggy heat gripping the area in recent days is expected to continue today and the rest of the week and weekend. A very mild cold front pushing into southeast Texas later today may spark thunderstorms near Brenham, Conroe and Cleveland, but the weak frontal system and rainfall has a very slim chance of reaching the Houston area, according to the National Weather Service.
