Ensign ethics inquiry to continue

The Nevada senator is resigning, but a Senate panel will continue its investigation into his conduct. Gov. Brian Sandoval says he'll appoint a successor by May 3.

The Senate Ethics Committee's investigation into Sen. John Ensign's conduct related to his affair with a campaign aide will continue despite his decision to resign, the panel's leaders say.
